Look in my LPs.

The beaver pi– you mean vagina?

I mean, you know the guy?

A lotta ins, a lotta outs a lotta what have yous…

Lizards, lizards…

…everywhere and not a drop to drink.

I walked over to the apartment complex’s management office because there is a pop machine. Sadly, it’s unplugged. So… no pop to drink, but I did, erm, drink this sight in on the tree right outside our front door.

Is that… -rubs eyes- Is that a pier?

Ha. The Pier in St Petersburg… it’s wee. I think all of the pier could fit inside the Family Pavilion at Navy Pier.

Same stuff though, conceptually. A couple of restaurants, a bunch of “crap” stores with area related gifts and things.

Jesus god.

What is wrong with teachers in the Bay Area? First Debra Lafave and then Stephanie Ragusa, who was arrested 3 times, and now there’s Darren Snieszko. What the hell?

Knitting? I knit?

Oh yeah…

Actually, I’ve done a lot of knitting. Being unemployed (though valiantly searching for a job) gives one a lot of free time. I did one Twisted Hourglass sock (free pattern from Ravelry)

I also made 8 coasters and 3 and a half facecloths. We have this partially glasstopped coffee table and so the coasters are kind of awesome. I bought a cone of kitchen cotton and the reason I ended up with 8 coasters and 3 and a half facecloths is because … I bought a cone of kitchen cotton and I must defeat it. :p

I started the second hourglass sock at sock club last night, which was a lot of fun. Knit ‘n Knibble is really awesome and I love it there and everyone I’ve met has been really cool. I only wish it were a wee bit closer, as it’s 20 miles from where I live. Which isn’t that far, i.e. it’s all expressway and traffic isn’t that bad, even in rush hour, but gas is expensive, blah blah blah.

It’s funny, though, the driving everywhere. I’ve got a GPS thing that Stephen’s loaning me and it sits on the dashboard, and it’s kind of awesome. It’s funny, because there’s 2 bridges that cross the bay into Tampa, and I normally take the Howard Frankland bridge (which is also I-275). And when you’re driving across the first part of the bridge, it’s all trees and grass on either side, so you don’t realize it’s a bridge. So it’s kind of funny when you see the GPS thing and there’s water on either side of the road on that monitor, and you can’t see the water from your car windows. It’s like, “You’re lying to me, vaguely human female sounding electronic mapping tool!” But then the road elevates and the bay glitters up and it’s really gorgeous. Bridge issues/irrational phobias aside, it really is rather awesome.
